So it turns out that with our satellite system, you can order Showtime immediately just by pressing a few buttons (after which, of course, you have to pay for it).
We vacillated, undecided as to whether we should do it or just wait until Masters of Horror, which I mentioned here, came out on DVD. Finally, with ten minutes to spare, we ordered Showtime and watched the first episode.
And it was really well done, exceedingly scary. After it was over we needed to walk our dogs, outside, in the dark, in the near-wilderness conditions in which we live. Neither of us wanted to go alone.
So I recommend it highly, and I'm sure the rest of the series will be as good.
Speaking of the night, I also recommend getting outside to look at Venus and Mars tonight if you can. Last night was the best viewing of Mars, according to CNN, but it'll still be out there tonight, bright and noticeably pinkish early in the evening.
