For some reason we have not been able to determine (except perhaps that we're close to Mexico, and maybe they're popular there) we have, in our immediate vicinity, an inordinate number of Chihuahua breeders and owners. On the local radio station's "Trading Post" program there's almost always a Chihuahua pup offered, sometimes many, from different litters. We don't see a lot of them around, but then, they're Chihuahuas, so you have to really be looking.
I was a little surprised, reading the story accompanying this headline:
to find that it didn't happen around here, but in Fremont, CA, not far from where I used to live, once upon a time.
Here's the meat of the story, if you will:
"A pack of angry Chihuahuas attacked a police officer who was escorting a teenager home following a traffic stop, authorities said.
They didn't say "veteran police detective Bill Veteran," but I bet they were tempted.
The story goes on to detail another strange incident in the area the same day:
"Two hours earlier, a homeowner in Niles reported that an intruder broke into her home and added pornography to her computer.
