As part of the spring whirlwind of book events, on Saturday (this is not an April Fool's joke, to my knowledge) I'll be back in Phoenix for the Arizona Book Festival. It's my second April as an Arizonan, and my second time at the Festival, so I'm honored to have been accepted into the community of Arizona authors so readily.
The schedule for the day's events (or at least my part in them) is here.
There'll be lots of friends there, including writers J. Carson Black, Russell Davis, Shannon Denton, Dennis McKiernan, John Vornholt, Emma Bull, Will Shetterly, Mike Stackpole, and others. Joe Nasisse, president (or former pres--I don't know if he still is) of the Horror Writers' Association and the man who started the Storytellers Unplugged blog to which I contribute, will be there, which is cool since we've known each other virtually for a long time but have never met. And Richard Shelton, author of the brilliant Going Back to Bisbee, will be there with his wife Lois. There's even a Waffle House booth serving a waffle breakfast.
If you're in Arizona, I hope you'll be there too.
