We didn't really have a spring wildflower season at the Ranch, because we didn't have any winter rains to speak of. But this summer the rains have been heavy locally--not as much at the Flying M as at some other areas nearby, but still a lot. Someone said the 9th heaviest summer on record.
I don't know if that's true or not, but I do know that wildflowers have responded and turned out in force this year. Here are a few of the many varieties, some of which I haven't identified yet.
