So I was working at my desk today when Maryelizabeth came down to ask me something. When I turned around, my gaze flicked to the window, outside which is our beautiful Tombstone rose tree (even more lush now than when I wrote about it just days ago).
And apparently we're not the only ones who like it. Although, to be honest, I haven't actually tasted it, and prefer appreciating it with eyes and nose. But this young mule deer had a different approach. It saw us watching, but as long as we weren't actively charging, it was reluctant to leave the yummy roses. Fortunately, we have plenty more, and most on branches too high for it to reach.
And just now, literally as I'm typing this, Maryelizabeth looked from her office window toward mine and pointed out that the deer has returned. Those must be some delicious roses!
beautiful creature...great shot, jeff!

I used a zoom lens for these, but not zoomed out very far. The deer was only 5-6 feet away from me.

I have never heard your band but I know your lead singer. He works with me here in Colorado. I will listen to your music when I am off work and at home. Can't wait to hear you guys. Have a fantastic life all of you.
