...regardless of which party they come from, it should be pointed out that Democratic congressman Alan Grayson (FL) yesterday said, "If you get sick America, the Republican health care plan is this: die quickly. That's right. The Republicans want you to die quickly if you get sick."
Which, of course, isn't at all the case. What the Republicans want is for you to live a long time, mortgaging your house and taking out loans to keep paying your medical bills. What they don't want is for you to have an insurance plan that a) you can afford and b) pays your medical costs, because if both a and b are true, then the poor insurance companies don't make enough money.
By contrast to the nonsense the Republicans have been spouting on this issue, Grayson's comment is pretty mild. But it's still over-the-top hyperbole when what's really needed is a serious examination of the real facts.
