My forthcoming thriller Empty Rooms is set largely in Detroit, back in 2009, when the automobile industry had cratered (along with much of the overall national economy).
The Detroit Legal News--the publication of record for Detroit's legal community--just ran a comprehensive piece by Kurt Anthony Krug about the book. I'm honored and gratified that it got this attention in that publication. The link is here. (It may or may not work for you--the overall site is subscription-only, but you can get a 1-day subscription for $4.95, paid through PayPal.) Take a look if you can. It's really a thorough piece that talks about the book's genesis, my take on the main characters, and more.
As a reminder, you can preorder now through your local independent bookstore, by visiting the book's page on Indiebound.org. Soon it'll be available from the big online retailers as well, and I will, of course, let you know when.
