A couple of weeks ago, I posted about my new novel and included the Michael Connelly quote that graces the front of the book.
Another of my thriller-writing heroes is T. Jefferson Parker. I've known Mike and Jeff both since their first books were published, and followed both careers as they became some of the very best in the field. They're both incredibly gracious men, and obviously generous with their time and talent.
Here's the Parker quote, which means a lot to me:
Empty Rooms is as good and moving as a thriller can be. Keenly observed and deftly written, it’s something you’ll want on your shelf as long as you have one. Mariotte’s characters come off the page at you, and through them, the author spins a tale truly of our time. I couldn’t put this one down.

If you want to find out what all the fuss is about, I've posted the first chapter on my author page on Facebook. Go there, like the page, and read the chapter. Every Saturday between now and the official Feb 8 publication date, I'll post another chapter.
