The Phoenix Comicon will be held in-duh--Phoenix, AZ, over Memorial Day weekend. I've been every year for the last 9 or so, and have consistently said that it's the best comic convention in the country--big enough to attract great guests, but not so big that you can't possibly see them.
This year, though, after much back-and-forth, my partner Marsheila Rockwell and I have decided we just can't do it. Marcy's third Lady Justice novel is due June 1, and the deadline for our first collaborative novel isn't long after. We're already committed to an event at the Henderson, NV Barnes & Noble on May 17, and between the deadlines, the day job, and more, there just isn't time for everything. Something had to go, and it's PHXCC.
In addition to the Nevada event, we'll be at MegaMania in Tucson on July 11, and I'll be at the Douglas, AZ Public Library on July 18. More details on those soon. We're also looking toward the Tucson Comic-Con in November, and no doubt other appearances along the way.
Sorry we'll miss friends in Phoenix--sometimes you just gotta stay home and write!
